Very impressed with the brightness of this headlamp, I bought it specifically for night fishing and infact it shone a long way down the beach and although it states the batteries last 75 hours this must be with the beam turned down to a minimum i used it for 5 hours and needed to replace the batteries but even so this was quite good as I have had quite a few cheaper brands in the past that only lasted an hour with nowhere near the brightness of this headlamp and I had it on full beam the majority of the time, it was comfortable to wear would liked to have tightened it up a bit more but all in all was very comfortable. In summary a very bright headlamp just great for beach fishing I am giving it five stars for what I need it for.

This is a review of 3 parts. Firstly the service and price from all outdoor was excellent. The order was dispatched within hours of placing and the product arrived next working day despite delivery being free. The performance of the torch is also excellent. I use it for mountain biking and am very impressed. True the battery life on full burn will not match a £200 Silva but the brightness is not far off and spare batteries are light, practical and the inconvienice of changing them minimal. The focus and dimmer functions are also quite useful. Finally, the actual light unit is very good quality. My only concern is the battery pack- the dimmer switch on the battery pack is a bit loose and tends to fluctuate when adjusted to minimum. Once at this setting the beam is stable, so this isn't a problem, it just feels a little fragile. I expect this is specific to my torch- other online reviews mention the dimmer being stiff, this would be preferable. Overall an excellent bit of kit at a great price- 9/10, the point only deducted due to the dimmer switch.

very great item use it for sea fishing has a great beam, and dim switch is very handy. was ok for all nite fishing lasted all nite without changing battries marks out of 10 - 10 0ut of 10 would recomend. A++++++++++++++++++++++

Would support everything said above. Dimmer switch on mine is fine (in response to Michael's review). Was worried that the whole assembly (with lamp housing and separate battery pack) would feel a bit cumbersome/heavy, but fears were unfounded.

Excellent delivery service, I bought this for night off road running and found the dimmer and focus functions ideal to give the light pattern and brightness required. The rear mounted battery pack is light and well balaced making this comfortable for running. Have not used it long enough to judge battery life, but this will always be a compromise with brightness so the dimmer switch is appreciated. Also useful for a back up when mountain biking, although not bright enough for the main light, but provides hands free light for mechanicals or punctures .
